NUET Pirate Escape Room blows Penguicon out of the water.

Once again we attended one of our favorite yearly events, Penguicon. Instead of our usual antics of running around and causing shenanigans, we tried something new. With the current fad of Escape Rooms popping up all over the place, we thought we would give it a try and see how we faired at it. Over the last few months Kevin and Alex have been hard at work planning and devising our first NUET Escape Room. Over the corse of the weekend we ended up running 12 groups with a total of 91 participants through our Pirate themed room. They were given 45mins to go through the room and solve as many puzzles as possible to find different pirate artifacts from both actual and fictional pirates.

From everything we have heard it was a huge success. The main issue people had with it is that we couldn't put more people through the room. Every single session we had people coming to the room wanting to join the team about to go through it. I guess having your sign up sheet fill up in 12mins flat is a good sign that people are interested.

For those that came by and gave it a try we thank you so so much! For those that were there and wanted to try it but couldn't, we have already begun talking to the ConCom for 2018.
